One of the highly anticipated game is Crysis 3, and a part of this anticipation is fuelled by the desire to see the engine behind the game deliver the goods. Crysis 3 will be running on Crytek’s latest engine, CryEngine 3.

CryEngine 3 is currently one of the most powerful engines running on consoles and PC and games powered b it is expected to deliver high quality gaming. Electronic Arts and Crytek have teamed up to showcase a video that would display the engine’s performance.

Crysis 3 takes you to the devastated jungle in New York, and the video gives you a tour of the city’s tropical forest. The in-game footage shows the realistically rendered graphical quality of both the flora and fauna.

The video amazed me with the depth given to detailing buildings and structures and the lighting and shadow effects.  I think the best shot would be that of the toad jumping into the water!
