The leak shows us that the next-generation Xbox will be called Xbox Infinity. We aren’t sure if this is a final decision spelt out by Microsoft, the Infinity nomenclature has begun doing the rounds on almost all social media networks.

The speculation must have arisen because the image has an infinity symbol close to the Xbox logo. The strap which blurts out  ”Infinite entertainment. Infinite possibilities” adds to the thought process.

Though Microsoft has not commented on this as yet, we think we might get a clarification soon. The console will be unveiled at Microsoft’s Redmond headquarters on May 21, and we need to wait for that day to know all about it. Till then let’s ruminate over the leak.

A year on, this May 1 is most likely to see the next edition come to stores. The hint has come from a photo of the blueprint of the showcase details (posted below) which folks at IGN managed to grab and publish on April 26.

Going by this, we need to expect that the next CoD title will be showcased on May 1 at Gamestop retail racks.

However, we have been fortunate to place our eyes on retailer Tesco’s listing and leaks on YouTube which suggest that it would be known as Call of Duty: Ghosts.

The leaks also suggest that it is indeed Infinity Ward who has developed the game.  What remains to be seen if is whether the latest edition will surpass CoD: Black Ops II on the sales front. Chances are less as Black Ops II has already proved that it is just as awesome as it can get.

PS3 and PC gamers will get the title as part of the Black Ops 2 Uprising DLC map pack. So, that also marks the end of Microsoft’s exclusivity over the game.

Activision has also gone a step forward and brought in a spruce up to the title before it launches on PS3 and PC. One prominent addition is that set of details on how to solve the main easter egg that Treyarch has included in the game.

Those who have been on the game so as to solve that challenge, will be able to complete the easter egg with friends on the PS3 and PC variants.

Meanwhile, folks at Product Reviews report that has come out on April 26 has stated that Treyarch and Activision “have announced that Uprising will be available to buy on May 16 for $14,99”.  And, it does come free for those who would buy a season pass on PS3 and PC for $50.

Mob of the Dead apart, the content will also include four new maps, namely Magma, Studio, Vertigo and Encore, so as you can play on multiplayer mode.

All said, what keeps us wondering is the fact that Treyarch has hesitated in doling out the usual free DLC weapon. We aren’t sure why, but we expect to get one with the next map pack. A few months from now, that is.

According to the company, what you will be exposed to is some zany cartoon action with the ant colony doing all it can to survive swarms of fellow insects, mutated into mindless monsters!

The game brings to your fingertips some intuitive touch controls with which you can challenge your friends into going in for dynamic survival modes. Adding to the charm are detailed environments and an exemplary soundtrack.

Going by what Alexey Sazonov, Sales and Marketing Director of HeroCraft, says, the original game attracts a Metascore of 90, making it the best arcade-strategy game on mobile. With the game now on the BlackBerry PlayBook makes it even better.

After Avalanche Studios – the makers of the Just Cause franchise – was largely reported to be at work on a tie-in game for George Miller’s big screen reboot Mad Max: Fury Road, updates or even an official confirmation were nowhere to be found.

Since the film was running into delays, the game hitting some turbulence wasn’t particularly surprising. But now that the film is back on track with Tom Hardy playing Max Rockatansky, everything is fine from the audience point of view. Needless to say, the web domain addresses they have bought speak for themselves.

There’s been no news on either Mad Max or Just Cause 3 for that matter, so whether that is a sign of trouble at Avalanche or simply evidence that both have been re-developed for next-gen consoles, Gamerick do expect to hear some update on either within the near future. The designs of Fury Road‘s post-apocalypse setting and vehicles certainly wouldn’t be out of place in a modern video game, but with news on the movie itself still a long way away, we’d recommend fans take this as an interesting indication, nothing more.

That being said, it’s not hard to see why Mad Max could either succeed or be overlooked completely in today’s games industry. Apocalyptic settings are far from rare, as are open worlds, but depending on the amount of funding and ambition behind it, the name alone could attract enough attention to at least make it a cult hit.
