Joy-Con can Work with PCs, But Not as a Single Unit

It’s not just Nintendo Switch Controllers, even the Joy-Con can pair with PC, Android and Mac devices, but not as a single unit

Switch Pro Controllers have been the talk of the town for a while, and it was interesting to note that it worked well with PCs when tested by YouTube user DreWoof. Interestingly, it’s not just the Switch Pro controller that can ally with PC, but even the Joy-Con controllers can pair up with PCs.

Thanks to easy Bluetooth setup that the Joy-Con controllers can easily be teamed up with PC, both Windows and Mac. But there’s a catch.

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to make use of both the controllers as a single unit. Instead, the PC will only recognize the units as separate device, which means that the Joy-Cons will have to be paired separately. Users will only be able to use the controllers as separate ones, and not as a single unit.

Yet again unfortunately, no one has found a way to brighten up the PCs and make them recognize the Joy-Cons as a single unit. We will have to wait to see if some bright mind could come up with the right solution.

As with other devices, Joy-Cons would also be able to work with Android devices, indeed as separate controllers. Joy-Cons aren’t supported on iOS as the latter makes use of different wireless specification. Checkout the below video from DreWoof to see how it works with PC.
