Minecraft Discovery Update 1.1 will arrive this spring for Windows 10 and Pocket Edition, and there’s more to expect than just new contents
You all might be eagerly waiting to experience the new contents in Minecraft that will go live this spring with the arrival of Discovery Update. But that’s not the only part to cheer about with the update. There’s even more to it, as the Discovery Update 1.1 will also be adding a new marketplace that will let you spend your money wisely.
That’s because this new marketplace will feature a wide collection of contents that are user-created and approved by the community. These will include a plethora of items like skins, maps and much more. The details of the in-app purchases have also been revealed.
The in-game currency can be purchased with payments as low as $1.99, which will hand you 300 coins to spend in the marketplace. 30% of the each purchase made using these coins will be allotted to the store, while content creators can grab over 50% of the coin payment. There are also packs of $4.99 and $9.99 available that will hand you 840 and 1720 coins respectively.
Users will be required to own a Xbox Live account to start spending for coins, which will be transferred to the virtual wallet.
For those who wish to upload their creations to the store, they can apply for the Microsoft Partner Program from here. You can earn well if you are good in content creation, as it doesn’t require an entire game update to go live for users to download the created contents. Prices of the items can also be fixed by the creator.
