Nintendo’s E3 booth this year will be enriched by the first playable experience of its upcoming sandbox adventure, Super Mario Odyssey
Nintendo has detailed its plans for E3 2017 that’s scheduled to take place this June, and there’s a special love for Super Mario Odyssey, the upcoming sandbox adventure game for Nintendo Switch.
The E3 booth of Nintendo will offer attendees have a first-hand experience of the game, making it the first time for which the game will be made playable to gamers. Alongside, the booth will also include its annual video presentation, Nintendo Spotlight.
Apart from that, Nintendo’s E3 plans also encompass Treehouse Live, marking the return of the broadcast event to E3. Tournaments for Arms and Splatoon 2 will also be held, and both will be live-streamed from the show floor.
The press release from Nintendo also promises to reveal the details of upcoming Switch games that will be coming out for the console this year.
All the contents can be watched across the globe through the dedicated video stream that will be available when the event shows up. The event is scheduled to go live on June 13 until June 15. The opening day will feature the 2017 Splatoon 2 World Inkling Invitational Splats. Four pre-qualified squid squads respectively from U.S., Japan, Europe and Australia/New Zealand will be taking part in the tournament.
The other tournament, the 2017 Arms Open Invitational, will take place the following day which will also feature the upcoming Arms fighting game for Nintendo Switch. Similar to the previous years, Nintendo will be giving the traditional press briefing onstage a miss at E3 2017, a tradition which Nintendo has been following since 2012.
