It was indeed one of the few games that had a very witty script and an unparalleled voice performance. Yes, I’m talking about the Ratchet and Clank. Though I didn’t have the chance to play all of them, I’m very happy with the news that the collection will be hitting PSN on August 28th.
Another series that I had the privilege to play with similar attributes was the Jak and Daxter trilogy. Anyway, the new collection is indeed a good addition to the game and there are a lot of extra features with this package.
The Collection features 1080p HD re-masters of three PS2 Ratchet & Clank classics: Ratchet & Clank, Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, and Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal. Trophy and 3D support (in 720p) too has been added to these games. Online play for Up Your Arsenal too has been updated to support the PS3.
PlayStation’s official blog describes about the add-ons briefly. According to that, it is said that they realized that the delay with which the Ratchet & Clank Collection is arriving in North America should be rewarded. As compensation, there will be exclusive primary access to the Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time demo with every purchase of the Collection.
If you love Ratchet, you probably love Sly and the Ratchet & Clank Collection will let you test-drive Sly’s new time-traveling adventure and it’s a Gamerick guarantee. As an added bonus, buyers will also get a special Ratchet & Clank 10th anniversary avatar as well.
