Sony has announced the formation of a new division under which new games will be published for Nintendo Switch and other consoles. Called Unties, the new label will also be dealing with games for non-PS consoles like PCs and Nintendo Switch.
The division already has four projects under its tally. One among them is titled Tiny Metal (see trailer below), and it will be available for Switch, PC, and PS4. The three other projects are yet to be revealed, but one among them will be for PS4, while the other two will be for PC along with another platform, which remains unrevealed as of now.
The label has been set up under Sony Music Entertainment, which says that the aim of Unties will be to unearth high-quality indie titles. This will let the games get exposed under the vast entertainment business wisdom of SME. The also shared the view of making free, limitless publishing of games a reality.
This isn’t eh first time that Sony is publishing a game for console other than PlayStation. Earlier, they have made the games PlanetSide 2 and Payday: The Heist on PC. But it’s interesting to see that they are now going beyond PC and reach out to a rival console. Let’s wait and see what it holds for the future.
